Privacy at Megyefo

Megyefo runs online shops for businesses in Ghana. This notice covers the people Megyefo deals with directly: businesses and their staff, and visitors to this website. Shoppers at a business's shop are covered by that shop's own privacy notice, at /privacy on its address.

What Megyefo keeps

  • For a business on Megyefo: its name, its owner's and staff members' names, emails and phone numbers, its plan, invoices and payments to Megyefo, and what its staff tell Megyefo through the back office.
  • For someone who books a demo: what they type into the form.
  • Sign-in records needed to keep accounts safe.

For shops' customers

The business is in charge of its customers' details; Megyefo stores and processes them only to run the business's shop, under the data processing agreement. Each shop's data is marked with that shop's own id, and every read and write is limited to it, so one business never sees another's.

Who else handles it

Megyefo's hosting provider, Cloudflare (photo storage), its mail provider, Paystack (for paying Megyefo's invoices), and Hubtel and Meta for order messages.

What you can ask

Under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) you can ask to see, correct or delete what Megyefo keeps about you, where the law allows. Write to Megyefo through the contact form. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
